We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Auditor with over 12 years of experience to join our finance team.
Position: Senior Financial Auditor Key Responsibilities:
Lead internal financial audits across WPPCO's water and power projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Evaluate financial statements, transactions, and accounting systems for accuracy and completeness
Identify and assess areas of financial risk, and ensure the implementation of corrective actions where necessary
Ensure adherence to local and international financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory compliance
Provide detailed audit reports, outlining key findings, risks, and actionable recommendations for management
Work closely with finance, project management, and other departments to improve internal financial controls and processes
Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and improvements in financial governance
Stay up-to-date on changes in financial regulations, auditing standards, and industry trends to ensure WPPCO’s financial practices remain compliant
Mentor and guide junior auditors and financial staff in best auditing practices
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or ACCA highly preferred)
12+ years of proven experience in financial auditing, preferably in the infrastructure, utilities, or construction sector
Strong knowledge of auditing standards, financial regulations, and reporting frameworks (IFRS, GAAP)
Proficiency in auditing tools and financial management systems
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to present audit findings to senior management and stakeholders
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving financial controls
