Purpose
Ensure work done conforms to the applicable work instructions and Design standards as applicable to the project assignment.
Works with engineers as required to produce Design from engineers’ sketches and drawing mark-ups
Specific accountabilities
- Drafting of all process drawings including but not limited to PFD, UFD, P&ID’s, Block flow diagrams, etc.
- Pre-bid drawing estimates.
- Site surveys and process drawing verification (as-building).
- Ensuring drawing quality and maintaining quality records.
- Filing and maintaining drawings and drawing register.
- Experience of internal audits will be an added advantage.
- Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the CSG, etc
- Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the CSG, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Diploma (or equivalent) in Chemical/Process or a related subject .
- Must have excellent English skills, both oral and written
- Experience running software, including:
- Unisim Design/Aspentech HYSYS
- Unisim Flare /Aspen Flare System Analyzer
- HTRI / Aspen Exchanger Design and Rating
- PIPENET Standard module
- In-House calculations sheets for miscellaneous process calculations
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
