JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Integrated Maintenance Solution (IMS) Administrator Grade 5 will provide delivery of IMS administration and technical aspects required to ensure continuous serviceability and availability of the solution supporting both the PC and RSAF Customer’s Typhoon Fleet. Outline responsibilities include:

The Integrated Maintenance Solution (IMS) Administrator Grade 5 will provide delivery of IMS administration and technical aspects required to ensure continuous serviceability and availability of the solution supporting both the PC and RSAF Customer’s Typhoon Fleet. Outline responsibilities include:
- Organise IMS improvement events and initiatives with configuration, planning and rollout of solutions
- Chair Projects and Focus groups run by IMS Administration Support
- Support and advise Projects and Focus Groups run by either ISE (Riyadh) or UK IM&T
- Guide and assist customer/stakeholder compliance with the IMS Operational Framework
- Present Maintenix and associated systems and how their availability impact IMS and the business
- Support and advise both SMU and Supply Chain on all IMS matters
- Plan the transfer of knowledge and mentoring of new starters, inc the G8 position
- Lead development of IMS Continuous Improvement notably data presentation
- Deputise for the IMS DCI Manager
- Ensure all routine scheduled checks of IMS are carried out and recorded
- Ensure all ISE IMS Support (Riyadh) requests are raised at the correct severity
- Communicate the severity of issues that affect IMS availability
- Ensure all KSA Issue Log Entries (Hoppers) are raised and recorded correctly
- Ensure requirements to install, configure and maintain IMS systems both hardware and software related with ISE IMS Support (Riyadh) are planned and co-ordinated
- Provide progress communications between Taif, Riyadh and UK key Stakeholders
- Facilitate and support IMS Support meetings including Skype calls
- Comply with the IMS Operational Framework for IMS Administration activities within e QMAS
- Carry out Annual Reviews of IMS Working Aids held in EQMS as determined by Taif Quality Assurance
- Support and advise on Assurance Activities including Audits and SORT investigations for all IMS matters
- Complete mandated business and technical related training and maintain currency
- Support the IMS DCI Manager with other IMS Administration Service Tasks
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential
- Hold a recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC level in a relevant Data Management discipline or National Civilian/Military equivalent
- Completion of a recognised national aircraft maintenance traineeship/apprenticeship or suitable equivalent
- Extensive proven experience in operational IT Support
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant computer science or engineering discipline
- Aircraft operational and/or maintenance data management experience
Essential
- A practitioner level of knowledge of shop maintenance, including ground system (IMS) skills
- A familiar level of knowledge of the Typhoon aircraft, its sub-systems and Ground Support System (IMS)
- A familiar level of understanding of personnel authorisations
- A familiar level of coaching & mentoring skills
- An awareness level of Management and Leadership skills
- Record of Human Factors Training
- Excellent communication skills, able to describe examples
- Proven ability to organise and deliver tasks on time, able to describe examples
- A practitioner level of Project Management Professional skills
- Provide Excellent Customer Service with a conscious and helpful approach to satisfying customer and Key Stakeholders expectations
- Assist and offer helpful advice on all IMS matters
- Mentor to new starters to the team
- Generate new ideas and innovations within all aspects of work including both routine work and IMS improvement events
- Apply initiate to realise these ideas with the team
