Historical Sites Expert
JASARA PMC is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Historical Sites Expert to join our team. As a Historical Sites Expert at JASARA, you will play a crucial role in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage and historical sites within Saudi Arabia. You will work on projects that contribute to the conservation, restoration, and sustainable development of historical sites, ensuring they are protected for future generations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive research and analysis on historical sites, including their cultural significance, architectural features, and historical context.
- Assess the condition of historical sites and develop strategies for their preservation and restoration.
- Collaborate with architects, archaeologists, and other experts to develop comprehensive conservation plans for historical sites.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on heritage preservation to project teams and stakeholders.
- Liaise with government agencies, local communities, and international organizations on matters related to the preservation and management of historical sites.
- Participate in the development and implementation of educational and public awareness programs to promote the value of historical sites.
- Master's degree or Ph D in Archaeology, Art History, Heritage Conservation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in the preservation and management of historical sites.
- Deep knowledge of Saudi Arabia's cultural heritage and historical sites.
- Proficiency in conducting research, documentation, and interpretation of historical sites.
- Strong understanding of conservation principles, practices, and international standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Prior experience working with government agencies and international organizations is preferred.
