Applications Operations Engineer
Job Description
- Assist in the administration, maintenance, and support of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers in production and development environments.
- Perform routine system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure the stability and availability of Linux environments.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement new systems, upgrades, and configurations in accordance with business needs.
- Execute basic system automation tasks using scripts and command-line tools under supervision.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies in RHEL environments.
- Create and maintain system documentation, including procedures and best practices.
- Respond to incidents and service requests, troubleshooting system-related issues and escalating to senior team members as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest Red Hat releases, features, and security updates to ensure systems are up to date.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and seek guidance when needed.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn.
Technical Skills
- Experience of 1-3 years of experience in administering and supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Basic knowledge of Linux system administration, including command-line usage, shell scripting, and system performance monitoring.
- Understanding of networking concepts, file systems, and system security as they relate to Linux environments.
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) is a plus.
- Exposure to virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, VMware) and cloud platforms is an advantage.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
