Lead the selection, implementation, and deployment of new software applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and objectives.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive roadmap for application lifecycle management, including upgrades, enhancements, and retirements.
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for application innovation and optimization.
Coordinate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to integrate applications with existing systems and platforms.
Identify and implement opportunities to optimize application performance, usability, and user experience.
Develop and implement application governance policies and procedures to ensure consistency, reliability, and security.
Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
Collaborate with vendors to address technical issues, implement upgrades, and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Evaluate vendor products and solutions to ensure they meet organizational requirements and standards.
The manager is authorized to assign the employee to any task within the department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT applications management, with a focus on application lifecycle management, project management, and vendor management.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong technical background with expertise in software applications, platforms, and technologies.
Proven project management skills with experience leading complex IT projects from initiation to completion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or Agile are desirable.
