Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy.
Manage and streamline financial reporting processes to ensure timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Lead the financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting.
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions and to support month-end and year-end close processes.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, as well as any international financial reporting standards (IFRS), and stay updated on changes in regulations and reporting requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors during financial and operational audits.
Develop and monitor the company’s annual budget and long-term financial plans.
Provide leadership and direction to the financial reporting and analysis team; manage and mentor junior staff.
Work closely with other department heads to provide financial insights and analysis that can drive business decisions.
Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements.
Prepare presentations and financial reports for management, board of directors, and shareholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification required.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Skills and Competencies:

Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC regulations).
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software.
Proven track record of leading successful financial reporting projects and initiatives.
