We are hiring a Project Manager, Communications, to be responsible for project managing key marketing and communications projects.
What You Will Be Doing:
Project Management:
- Execute project plans, including setting project scope, schedule, and overall objectives.
- Create and execute project strategies to optimize business results.
- Plan, control, and manage project execution to ensure timely completion and alignment with original objectives.
- Lead project activities involving creative and production resources.
- Obtain necessary project authorizations and approvals.
- Ensure proper collection and distribution of project information.
- Collaborate with Communication Specialists to develop communication plans for assigned projects.
- Develop project strategies, identify resources, establish timelines, and manage project budgets.
- Understand target audiences and content to evaluate communication activities, tactics, and programs.
- Achieve project goals through building relationships and influencing stakeholders.
Product Visualization Management:
- Manage relationships with in-house 3D visualizers or external rendering agencies.
- Oversee and manage the rendering process for product visualization projects.
- Coordinate stakeholder alignment and maintain visibility on project timelines and health.
Sales & Merchandise - Platform Management:
- Manage external vendors for merchandise-related projects.
- Oversee merchandise strategy, including item lifecycle management.
- Handle stock and inventory management.
- Provide light internal customer service.
Your Future Team:
The story-telling and promotions team at Steelcase operates like a digital marketing agency within the company and influences every project that needs to be communicated externally – whether it’s a product launch, a brand initiative, or a partnership announcement.
In this role, you will not only have the opportunity to work closely with the story-telling and promotions team you will be part of, but with the entire communications team in EMEA, as you will be responsible for project managing key strategic projects that impact the broader team.
Who You Are:
You are comfortable with supporting Communications and Marketing leaders with brand planning, campaign execution, and tactical management. You excel in managing relationships with external vendors, ensuring all project elements align seamlessly to achieve business objectives. You have strong organizational and leadership skills that allow you to effectively coordinate complex projects and deliver successful outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications

Proven, hands-on experience in marketing and communications, a strong ability of driving campaigns from strategy to execution.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- Strong business literacy and understanding of marketing concepts.
- Proven leadership abilities with skills in follow-up, persuasion, facilitation, and delegation.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a command of the English language, grammar, and punctuation.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional teams to achieve business results.
- Ability to manage project-related activities and apply project management principles.
- Understanding of basic financial data interpretation.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred.
- Ability to make sense of ambiguity.
- Excellent negotiation ability
- Experience in marketing communications, including strategy creation
- Ability to gather competitive information and maintain strong relationships with communication partners.
- Familiarity with developing concepts, project descriptions, and logistics management.
- Experience with resource allocation, budget management, and timeline development for complex projects.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work with tight deadlines
