Data Engineer
We seek a Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at the forefront of innovating and optimizing data-driven strategies. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and enabling data accessibility for cross-functional teams to drive decision-making and strategic planning. What You Will Be Doing:
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and other stakeholders to define, design, and build big data solutions and streamline the data acquisition process.
- Build and maintain data pipelines: You will architect and build scalable and robust data pipelines that transform raw data into valuable insights.
- Ensure data quality and governance: You will perform data mapping and data lineage activities, documenting information flows. You will also implement an enterprise data governance model, promoting data protection, sharing, reuse, quality, and standards.
- Troubleshoot and innovate: You will monitor data pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate issue resolution. You will research and promote new tools and techniques to shape the future of the data environment and build POCs to validate new concepts.

Join our dynamic group of skilled professionals, spanning both Romania and the United States. As a Data Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our collaborative Data Science Practice, working closely with Data Science. We work with business leaders on various projects, with the objective of providing them with valuable insights to support business decisions. We are a tight-knit reciprocal group who enjoy spending time with each other in and out of work. We operate under Agile methodologies, emphasizing accountability, flexibility, perseverance, and adaptability.
Who You Are:
Required Skills and Competencies
- Practical hands-on programming and engineering experience in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with SQL and RDBMS.
- Intern or full-time experience in data engineering, software development, or data science.
- Experience with public Cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Experience with large scale distributed big data systems (Hadoop or Spark) and orchestration engine (Azure Data Factory or Airflow).
- Experience with No SQL Database.
- Experience working with cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, GCP Big Query).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Event-driven architecture and messaging frameworks (Kafka, Azure Event Hub, Azure Io T Hub).
- Experience with Apache Spark Structured Streaming or Apache Flink, Structured streaming is preferred.
- Experience with SAP data, or Io T device/sensor data.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software/computer engineering, information technology or related fields is preferred.
