Field Testing Operations Coach
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Field Testing Operations Coach in Crop Science to join our innovative team. In this role, you will enable teams to break silos, foster inclusive behavior, and collaborate to achieve their full potential. You will work with a high level of autonomy, overseeing field testing site selection, field trial management, and contributing to cutting-edge research in Corn and OSR hybrid product evaluation. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, proficient in research equipment operations, and possess a solid agronomic background.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
Lead field testing site selection and field trial management to understand Genotype × Environment interactions in corn and OSR hybrid product evaluations.
Operate and maintain research equipment such as planters, tractors, combines, and sensing devices, as needed.
Manage the field equipment portfolio, overseeing maintenance, logistics, and fleet activities.
Develop and implement operational, maintenance, and calibration standards for field equipment, providing training and instruction.
Collaborate with other Operational Coaches to foster continuous learning and training in equipment operations, optimizing processes and efficiencies.
Ensure compliance with SSHE procedures, promoting safe operations of field equipment.
Engage with EMEA region and global teams to implement digital farming technologies in research and development efforts.
Play an active role in the ideation and deployment of future technological advancements.
Train and document information related to new technologies deployed across the network.
Lead by example, creating a culture of safety, quality, and compliance.
Manage on-site stakeholder relations, fostering collaboration with Breeding, Field Solutions, and Commercial teams.
Who you are:
BSc or higher in Agronomy, Breeding, or related field with 3-5 years of experience in field testing environments.
Strong background in agronomy and crop management.
Knowledge of statistics and experimental design/methods.
Advanced computer proficiency (MS Office, BI software).
Excellent results orientation and planning skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Willingness to travel (20%)
Professional fluency in English.
