Buyer/Field Material Management Specialist
Location: Nysa (on site), Poland
In the future: Gliwice office
Basic responsibilities:
- Execute tasks related to material planning, purchasing, or logistics associated with commodities or engineered equipment, systems, or materials in support of project operations
- Procure engineered equipment and materials in accordance with the Material Management Plan
- Manage critical material and equipment orders - execution of pre-award and post-award activities including: vendor pre-qualification, Bidders list set up, RFQ issuance, bids evaluations and clarifications, commercial negotiations, award recommendation, order package preparation, order expediting, change/claim management, invoices verification, material receipt/release for construction, PO close-out
- Review, analyze, and negotiate commercial offers and Terms and Conditions, based on Prime Contract flow downs
- Coordinate, chair, and document pre-bid meetings or clarification meetings for dedicated scopes of work
- Coordinate of technical scopes of work including interface with all project disciplines (project controls, legal services, project management, construction, engineering, finance/accounting, and client)
- Build scenarios and issue materials by the Construction Work Package
- Ensure Expediting Status in the approved material management reference system is current and accurate, run/distribute reports, facilitate weekly reporting meetings with Client and Management
- Coordinate with Warehousing, Buyer, Planning, and Logistics to address/reconcile Overages, Shortages, and Damages (OSD) and Material and Equipment Deficiency Notification (MEDN) claims
