Category Manager

Our Client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality safety systems and aerodynamic solutions for the automotive industry.

contribute to the development of the company’s global procurement organization,
develop, execute, and communicate strategies for the assigned categories,
lead supplier selection processes to ensure alignment with category strategies and meet business needs,
build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers,
leverage strategic tools and techniques to maximize value,
prepare business cases and effectively present justifications for cost-saving opportunities,
improve working capital by negotiating extended payment terms with suppliers,
implement supplier agreements to mitigate risks and achieve the required level of supplier performance for assigned categories,
stay informed about industry and market trends impacting assigned categories to facilitate effective discussions and negotiations,
lead and support purchasing activities, acting as the category expert.

a degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Economics,
extensive experience in procurement (3+ years), ideally with an international background,
strong proficiency in English (German would be an asset),
proven expertise in cost management, with a track record of achieving cost reduction goals,
excellent negotiation abilities,
capable of performing well under pressure and adapting to fast-paced environments,
very good MS Office (Excel) and SAP skills,
experience working within matrix organizational structures,
willingness to travel in business.
