About the employer:
Our Client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality safety systems and aerodynamic solutions for the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
- contribute to the development of the company’s global procurement organization,
- develop, execute, and communicate strategies for the assigned categories,
- lead supplier selection processes to ensure alignment with category strategies and meet business needs,
- build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers,
- leverage strategic tools and techniques to maximize value,
- prepare business cases and effectively present justifications for cost-saving opportunities,
- improve working capital by negotiating extended payment terms with suppliers,
- implement supplier agreements to mitigate risks and achieve the required level of supplier performance for assigned categories,
- stay informed about industry and market trends impacting assigned categories to facilitate effective discussions and negotiations,
- lead and support purchasing activities, acting as the category expert.
Requirements:
- a degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Economics,
- extensive experience in procurement (3+ years), ideally with an international background,
- strong proficiency in English (German would be an asset),
- proven expertise in cost management, with a track record of achieving cost reduction goals,
- excellent negotiation abilities,
- capable of performing well under pressure and adapting to fast-paced environments,
- very good MS Office (Excel) and SAP skills,
- experience working within matrix organizational structures,
- willingness to travel in business.
