JOB DESCRIPTION Department : Administration & HR Department Position : Environment, Health, and Safety Officer Reports Directly to : EHS Supervisor JOB SUMMARY: An Environment, Health, and Safety Officer is responsible for formulating and upgrading processes that guarantee everyone’s safety in the workplace. They also check if such safety measures comply with the government’s occupational, health, and safety guidelines. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures employees' strong adherence to safety and health programs and policies implemented by the company through different programs and activities.
Submits reports on exposure factors concerning occupational injuries, illnesses, and accidents and prepares reports for the information of personnel concerned.
Conducts and monitors inspection of facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
Identifies and assesses work areas prior to project mobilization for potential accident and health hazards and implements appropriate control measures to avoid risks.
Conducts inspections and evaluates the workplace environment, equipment, and practices for compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
Provide support and advice on occupational health and safety best practices in order to maintain a healthy workforce at all project sites and offices.
Monitors to ensure employees adhere to occupational health and safety rules and regulations to control breaches and incidents within the workplace.
Provides assistance in safety drills and trainings with the workplace on a variety of topics, such as emergency preparedness.
Submits reports on occupational health and safety compliances of the assigned project.
Assists in monitoring and assessing the health and safety strategies implemented.
Provides assistance in the implementation of new initiatives where the required outcomes are not being achieved.
Ensures the maintenance of a register of project accidents and injuries and provides an analysis.
Encourages maximum reporting of incidents and works with other departments to ensure accidents and incidents are openly, accurately, and timely recorded and reported.
Assists in the promotion of compliance with relevant occupational, health, and safety obligations to support health, safety, and wellness initiatives in the assigned project.
Performs safety-related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of BS Civil Engineer, or any related four (4) year course;
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and/or at least 1 year of working experience; and
Experience in working with people on different levels with proven excellent customer service.
