Quality Assurance Specialist (Food Manufacturing-Zamboanga Del Norte)
Assist in the development and proper implementation of the overall Quality Management System, Food Safety Management System and Feed Safety Management System programs, and the assurance of necessary regulatory and accreditation compliances. Willing to work at Brgy. Nabilid, Zamboanga Del Norte. Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in the development of programs: Food Safety and Feed Safety Systems, Food Defense and Food Fraud Program, Allergen Control Program
Support the QA Supervisor in the implementation of the Food Safety System including its prerequisite programs such as GMP/HACCP, Integrated Pest Management, self-inspection, internal audit, etc.
Identify and establish quality assurance standards based on an understanding of customer expectations and industry requirements.
Conduct inspections to ensure product quality conformance for warehousing and storage.
Ensure product consistency, validate the operations process for oil milling and refining.
Ensure conformity to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), parameters, and product quality to prevent and control defects.
Assist in the conduct of Root Cause Analysis.
Analyze the data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
Oversee Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) implementation, as well as documentation with other departments.
Collaborate with Production teams to identify areas for quality improvement.
Conduct an interplant audit to ensure compliance with established quality assurance standards.
Assist in all audit preparations for AIB and FSSC 22000 compliance.
Monitor and assist in processing the accreditation of FDA, Kosher, Halal, and ISO 9001:2015
Assist in the development of training materials for quality assurance and compliance staff, as well as training session preparation.
Conduct training sessions with the team members to enhance their understanding of quality assurance protocols.
Prepare quality metrics, performance reports and other reports requested by the management.
Review and update Food Safety and Quality Manuals
Ensure the integrity of the documentation and the maintenance of the documents and records.
Monitor the quality management system's overall implementation.
Performs other related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
A degree in Food technology, Chemistry, Microbiology or Chemical Engineering.
Requires 1-2 year relevant work experience as Quality Assurance / Control Analyst/Specialist.
