Marketing Management

• Identifies and analyzes the business unit’s strengths and weaknesses and responds to opportunities and threats in the marketing environment.
• Set goals for market shares and growth
• Develops plans for the unit’s advertising, sales and public relation.
• Concurs / approves the year long marketing plans and budget to ensure continuous influx of customers and thereby helps in attaining the sales target of the unit.
• Evaluates performance of system wide and local store marketing activities.
• Recommends / approves tri – media advertising materials for circulation.
• Undertakes marketing audits to monitor the viability of each marketing and promotional activities / programs launched.

Marketing Strategies

• Identifies, develops and evaluates marketing strategies based on knowledge of the organizational objective, market characteristics and cost and mark up factors.
• Interprets and analyzes market research studies and their findings.
• Develops and implements appropriate strategies by selecting, segmenting and targeting markets and promoting products and services to those markets.
• Works with other functional departments to ensure market research, analysis and competitive intelligence is undertaken and utilized in products and services development.

Product / Brand Management and Positioning

• Ensures market share on the stores at any given time.
• Gathers knowledge on periodic sales turnover on a per vendor, per store basis to ensure product placement and movement at each and every outlet.
• Recommends hiring of independent research firm to be able to determine brand shares and be able to come up with better positioning.
• Defines strategy and roadmaps for each individual house brand in cooperation with the Purchasing Group and other functional departments.
• Tracks and reports on the performance of products and services against product and service plans and KPIs.

Ads and Promo

• Monitors and controls advertisement and promotion expenses and balances same with the unit’s sales performance.
• Formulates, oversees and analyzes all types of store promotions.

Administrative / Management

• Collaborates with the Human Resource Department in coming up with a competitive compensation scheme for employees and implements rewards and recognition program and work and life balance for same as part of the retention program of the company. Acquisition and retention programs.
