Job Summary The Inventory Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily inventory of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. This includes tracking stock levels across production, stores, and warehouse operations, ensuring proper inventory control procedures, and preparing detailed reports on inventory movements. The role requires coordination with the production team to ensure timely and accurate inventory records. The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong organizational skills to ensure smooth operations. Duties and Responsibilities Daily Inventory Monitoring Consolidate and prepare daily inventory reports for:
Bakery stores
Production (raw ingredients, packaging, etc.)
Warehouse (stock of finished goods and materials)
Accurately record and track all inventory movements in the system.
Inventory Control & Monitoring
Review and verify inventory receipts and issuances, ensuring consistency between actual stock and system records.
Monitor the movement of raw ingredients from warehouse to production and track their consumption.
Prepare weekly inventory adjustments for raw materials and finished goods based on production output.
Monitor and reconcile purchase orders with receiving reports to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of inventory.
Reporting & Adjustments
Generate and analyze inventory count reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
Assist with stocktaking and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory records.
Prepare and document weekly inventory adjustments for ingredients used in production and for finished goods ready for dispatch to stores.
Collaboration with Teams
Work closely with production and logistics teams to forecast inventory needs and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Ensure inventory systems and records are up to date and reflect real-time inventory positions.
Coordinate with suppliers to track incoming inventory and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Perform other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management to support the commissary's overall efficiency and success.
Job Specifications
Must be a graduate of any 4-year business course, preferably with a background in accounting.
At least 1 year of experience in warehousing and inventory management, ideally within a food production or commissary environment.
Knowledge of warehouse management, production processes, and inventory control is essential. Experience in a bakery or restaurant store operations is an advantage.
Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Highly motivated, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks in a busy work environment.
Strong knowledge of inventory control systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, especially in a production-driven setting.
Work Environment The role requires frequent interaction with production teams to oversee inventory movements and may involve occasional handling of materials or stock.
