JOB OBJECTIVES: The Human Resources Supervisor is responsible for the management of the Human Resources operations in accordance with resort standards. The Human Resources Supervisor directs, implements a service management philosophy which serves as guide to respective staff. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary Job Functions: Maintains complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards. Ensures the smooth and efficient overall day to day operations of the Human Resources department. Provides excellent employee relations, resolves staff complaints and assists in situations to ensure employee satisfaction. Ensures employee inquiries, requests and concerns are addressed and completed in a timely manner. Ensures staff adherence to company policies, procedures and standards to ensure that guest expectations are exceeded. Monitors departmental expenses (cost of sales, telephone, supplies, manpower, etc.) and to tack against budget. Establishes par levels for supplies and equipment. Complete requisition to replenish shortage or additional items. Maintains complete knowledge of proper maintenance of equipment used and continuously train staff on its proper use. Anticipates low occupancy periods to coordinate with Department Heads to maximize labor cost. Compiles a copy and review all manuals of each department. Gives Department Heads copies of the Manuals. Initiates recruitment and hiring as requested by each Department Head. Assists Department Heads in training and performance reviews of each department staff. Assists Department Heads in the panning of staff training, staff development and staff activities according to the prescribed standards with the guidance of the General Manager and the Operations Manager. Oversees all human resources functions including, but not limited to payroll preparation, implementation of company policies, conducting hiring and exit interviews and other human resources procedures. Develops and implements human resources procedures to improve efficiency in human resources operations. Ensures timely and accurate generation of monthly and annual reports to the General Manager and Operations Manager. Coordinates medical requirements of employees with Health Card provider. Organizes staff activities and coordinate with Department heads assignments and requirements per department. Coordinates with Department heads that new staff handling equipment must be trained before handling any machine or equipment. Conducts regular staff trainings on required job functions and department orientation for new hires. Conducts on-going training for existing staff. Receives Departmental Weekly Manpower forecast and Manpower request and process it. Provides feedback to staff on their performance. Handles disciplinary problems and counsel employees. Monitors and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas and staff house. Coordinates hotel emergency procedures within the scope of defined emergency plans. Inspecting employee working areas to identify potential and current employee needs and discuss this with the General Manager. Secondary Job Functions: Attends designated Departmental head meetings conducted by the General Manager. Pre-screen applicants before endorsing to Department Heads. Prepares annual forecast and budget with the General Manager. Prepares reports, handles special projects and assignments as required by the General Manager.
