HR Manager

Job Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire human resources function within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The HR Manager will work closely with department heads to provide strategic support on talent management, recruitment, employee development, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:1. HR Strategy and Policy Development:
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior management to create HR strategies that support overall business objectives.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, keeping the company updated on new legislation.
2. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding of new hires.
  • Work with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process to integrate new employees into the organization.
3. Employee Relations and Engagement:
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee concerns, resolving issues related to performance, conduct, or grievances.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture through employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and team-building initiatives.
  • Mediate conflicts and facilitate effective communication between employees and management.
4. Performance Management:
  • Develop and implement performance appraisal systems to ensure regular feedback and development for employees.
  • Guide managers in addressing performance issues and providing coaching or corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure that performance evaluations are conducted on schedule and reflect accurate assessments of employee performance.
5. Training and Development:
  • Identify training needs across the organization and implement development programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Coordinate leadership development initiatives and professional growth opportunities for employees at all levels.
  • Ensure that mandatory compliance training (e.g., workplace safety, anti-harassment) is conducted regularly.
6. Compensation and Benefits:
  • Oversee the development and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and benefits surveys to ensure that the organization remains competitive in the market.
  • Manage employee benefits enrollment and coordinate with third-party vendors.
7. Legal Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, such as labor standards, health and safety regulations, and equal opportunity legislation.
  • Handle sensitive issues such as terminations, layoffs, and workplace investigations in a fair and compliant manner.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data protection and confidentiality.
8. HR Metrics and Reporting:
  • Track and analyze HR metrics, such as employee turnover, time-to-hire, and employee engagement levels, to assess the effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Prepare reports for management on key HR initiatives and trends, including staffing levels, retention rates, and employee satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and HR compliance.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to mediate conflicts and navigate sensitive issues.
  • Proficiency in HR software systems (e.g., HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position.
  • Office-based environment, with occasional travel for recruitment or training.
  • May require occasional after-hours work, especially during peak recruitment periods or employee investigations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
