Scope and Functions of Lead Tour Guide - El Nido, Coron Expedition
As a Lead Tour Guide - El Nido, Coron Expedition, is responsible for leading, overseeing, and supervising guests on island adventures, including activities such as trekking, snorkeling, swimming and diving. The role involves providing understanding of the local culture, history, and natural environment. Leadership and supervise duties with hands-on tour guiding, ensuring the smooth operation of all island expeditions. The Lead Tour Guide will manage a team of tour guides, ensure adherence to safety standards, and enhance the overall guest experience from Coron to El Nido vice versa.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a team of tour guides, ensuring they follow best practices and deliver high-quality tours.
• Lead and guide guests on island expeditions, including hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, and other activities.
• Provide training, support, and performance feedback to tour guides.
• Ensure all tours and activities adhere to local safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
• Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections of equipment and procedures.
• Handle emergency situations and provide first aid when necessary.
• Ensure all tours and activities adhere to local safety regulations and environmental guidelines.

• Provide guests with information about additional activities and attractions available on the island.
• Coordinate with local partners and suppliers for equipment rentals, permits, and other tour necessities.
• Ensure all tour equipment is well-maintained and in good working order.
• Gather and keep records of tour operations, including guest details and feedback..
• Prepare and submit all reports on tour performance and guest satisfaction as required.
• Assist in managing tour-related budgets and expenses.
• Assist in promoting tours and activities through the hostel’s website, social media, and local marketing efforts every after-expedition tour.
• Works together with the entire boat team, tour operators and purchasing staff.
• Direct reporting to Operations Manager.

Job Type: Fixed term
Contract length: 10 months
Pay: Php1,300.00 - Php1,500.00 per day

• BLS-CPR and AED training (Preferred)
