Responsible for the academic leadership of the faculty including all aspects of teaching, learning, research, and knowledge transfer.
Coordinates the assessment and development of academic programs within the College.
Prepares and revises, as necessary, academic programs.
Promotes and serves as a model for teaching professional achievement and professional service.
Oversees all personnel matters involving academic and non-academic employees including recruiting, appointment, re-appointment; termination and dismissal; faculty evaluation, tenure, promotion and merit and the preparation and approval(s) of faculty workload plans and long-range professional development plans.
Maintains effective communication between students, faculty, Chairs and the other academic unit personnel.
Serves as a liaison with relevant professional associations and national regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Articulates University policies and procedures to members of the College.
Prepares budgetary needs and oversees the allocation and expenditure of resources.
Oversees the preparation of class schedules and other institutional reporting requirements.
Maintains student records.
Ensures a high quality student experience.
Engages in activities to increase graduate and undergraduate student enrolment .
Cultivates strong alumni and external relationships to support and grow the College.
Additional responsibilities assigned by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Qualifications:
An earned doctorate degree or specific master’s degree or licensed professional (PRC).
Administrative leadership experience in higher education.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and develop relationships and partnerships within the College, University and business community.
Demonstrated strategic planning experience.
Documented experience with budget and personnel management.
Knowledge in business accreditation standards and agencies
