1. Job summary Responsible for ensuring safety and safe navigation of various transports, crew and passengers whilst at sea and on the road by making sure that recommended safety regulations and emergency measures are met. 2. Duties and Responsibilities · Maintains Transports and equipments, such as engines, winches, navigational systems, fire extinguishers, and life preservers, spare tires, Jacks and wheel braces. · Requests supplies and equipments. · Sort logs, form log boo Ks, and Equipment lost logs. · Directs and coordinates crew members or workers performing activities such as loading and unloading cargo, steering vessels, and operating, maintaining, and repairing Transport equipment. · Inspect transports to ensure efficient and safe operation of transport and equipment, and conformance to regulations. · Maintains records of daily activities, personnel reports, ship positions and movements, ports of call, weather and sea conditions, pollution control efforts, and/or cargo and passenger status. · Monitors the loading and discharging of cargo or passengers. · Signals boatman or deckhands to rig tow lines, open or close gates and ramps, and pull guard chains across entries. · Steers and operates vessels, using radios, depth finders, radars, lights, buoys, and lighthouses. · Arranges for Transports to be fueled, restocked with supplies, and/or repaired. · Undertake any act to ensure the safe conduct of the transport and to enforce discipline. · Exercises good grooming and impeccable hygiene Other Responsibilities: · Contribute to the TEAM’s objective of Excellent Guest Satisfaction with the highest level of Guest service and the most exciting and outstanding “barefoot luxury” experience. · Promote a work environment of Partner Engagement, TEAM spirit and a healthy relationship among personnel within the department and the whole organization. · Live in accordance with the Corporate Values and Code of Conduct. · Ensure adequacy and compliance of internal control and compliance to applicable government regulations. · Implement the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) standards and support QMS/EMS-related activities. · Promote a clean and safe work environment by implementing the Company’s health and safety programs. · Take an active part in all Team and resort-initiated programs and activities. · Promote the NAY PALAD HIDEAWAY image by conducting all duties and responsibilities in the most ethical manner. · Protect the CONFIDENTIALITY of all information classified as such. · Live the values and philosophies as true partner of the NAY PALAD HIDEAWAY Team. · Always approach the Guests with the NAY PALAD HIDEAWAY Greetings Gesture. 3. Job Specifications · Calm and charismatic personality · Superior leadership, communication, management and diplomacy skills · Excellent boat handling and navigational skills · Excellent maintenance, engineering and technical / troubleshooting experience · Ability to remain calm and give directions in an emergency situation · Organized and methodical · Licensed to operate marine vehicles · Must possess a valid driver’s license · At least 2 years relevant work experience · First Aid knowledge and training · Good knowledge of Land and Marine life and its hazards · A good knowledge and experience in using water “toys” · A good knowledge of large bodies of water and how they can affect guest safety · Be entertaining and engaging · Know the limitations of your equipment and especially guests Job Type: Full-time Supplemental Pay:
