Job Summary: The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for coordinating all operations of a branch in the absence of a Branch Manager. OPERATIONS:
In the absence of the Branch Manager, takes charge of the overall business activities and operations of the branch.
Evaluates and recommends loan approvals for those that are credit worthy release of the proceeds.
Recommends adjustment in interest rates and terms to keep the company competitive with other financial companies in the area.
Monitors the annotation of mortgages in all documents covering the properties securing the loan transaction in accordance with company policies.
Supervises the recovery of investments in non-performing loans.
Works in close coordination with the company legal counsel to ensure that the company is adequately represented and defended in all litigation proceedings.
Ensures that all documents and evidence are intact and recommends other options to strengthen the stand of the company in al legal cases.
ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS:
Monitors and manages the proper upkeep of branch properties like vehicles, furniture, equipment, etc.
Monitors the timely submission of weekly and monthly financial reports, and to a point, is responsible for the accuracy of the figures reported therein.
Reprimands offenders and apply disciplinary actions according to company policy and by observing the due process required by law.
Ensures the timely remittances of premiums withheld for SSS, Philhealth, and Pag-ibig contributions of the branch staff including withholding taxes on compensation, rentals, etc.
Ensures timely submission of the required reports for the foregoing statutory deductions to the respective government agencies.
Keeps in confidentiality all records and information related to the company, financial or otherwise.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned by his Immediate Superior in case of business need.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or related field. A licensed Certified Public Accountant will be an advantage.
At least 3 year(s) of work experience in management, finance, sales or a relevant business role.
Proficient in the use of basic applications in a Windows-based environment, including Outlook, Word and Excel. Moderate keyboard skills at 40 WPM and 80% accuracy.
Excellent customer experience and problem-solving skills.
Effective English communication skills, both oral and written. Can speak the local dialect and/or Filipino.
Action orientated. Should be able to follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes.
Knowledge and skill of modern office practices, procedures, equipment and standard clerical techniques.
Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices. Leadership and human resources management skills.
Efficient facilitation skills. Should be able to facilitate group discussions.
Ability to meet department metrics, sales targets and production goals.
