Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for activities relating to the safe, cost effective, clean, reliable and efficient operations of the power plant inclusive of production planning and implementation of plant operations, maintenance schedules and procedures.
- To communicate effectively on daily basis with Superior on issues related with the condition of the plant equipment's and it's performance and to provide suggestions for improvements, plant stabilization etc.,
- Establish and implement standard Operations & Maintenance Policies and Procedures according to Wartsila Muscat requirements.
- Responsible for setting and maintaining the operations & maintenance qualification and specific training standard needed for personnel.
- Responsible for all activities relating to the daily maintenance management of the power plant inclusive of planning and implementation of plant maintenance.
- Establish, implement and manage all aspects of the plant operations using total quality management techniques.
- Responsible for preparing annual plant operating plan, annual maintenance plan, operational capital and operation & maintenance budgets in conjunction with Superior.
- To identify and actively seek to improve operations of the plant, to improve operational reliability and availability, to maximize equipment life, and to provide detailed feedback to the Superior.
- Ensure day to day operations of Power Plant as directed by Superior and as per the standard Operating procedures.
- Maintain/Track Power Plant statistical performance, production, root cause analysis and make suggestions/recommendations to Superior.
- Plan Safety stocks and order parts by considering lead times. Optimize inventory.
- Maintain track record of supply of fuel, lube oil, chemicals, water in coordination with owner/supplier.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly operations/maintenance/production reports.
- Evolve training needs for plant operations & maintenance personnel and impart adequate training to enhance skill competency.
- To implement work/shift schedules for operation team in conjunction with Superior.
- To ensure/achieve maximum production by planning scheduled stoppages.
- Assume duties in absence of Superior as per organizations requirement.
- Ensure that fluid samples are properly drawn, tested in a timely manner and an analysis of the result is done in order to maintain quality assurance.
- Responsible for implementation of plant safety procedures and policy.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Mechanical or Electrical
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Have managed multicultural Nationals.
- Knowledge of Supply chain & Incoterms
