The ideal candidate will be responsible for closing accounts for audit, preparing performance bonds, coordinating with banks, and following up on collections. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
Closing Accounts for Audit:
Prepare and close monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts for audit.
Ensure all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Work closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations during audits.
Performance Bond Writing:
Draft and manage performance bonds and other financial instruments as required by the finance department.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in the preparation of performance bonds.
Liaise with project teams to gather necessary information for bond preparation.
Bank Coordination:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all banking activities, including account management, transactions, and documentation.
Manage and maintain relationships with banking institutions to ensure smooth financial operations.
Monitor bank balances and transactions to ensure adequate cash flow and liquidity.
Collection Follow-Up:
Oversee and manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
Follow up with clients and customers to ensure prompt payment of outstanding invoices.
Reconcile accounts receivable balances and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
General Accounting Duties:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journals, ledgers, and balance sheets.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis for management review.
Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable regularly.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
Prepare and submit financial reports to regulatory authorities as required.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and report on variances to management.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting, with a strong background in financial reporting, audit preparation, and accounts management.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
