Assignment Description

In pursuing our ambition to digitalize and become more data driven, we are continuously developing and improving our tools and work processes.
To achieve this ambition, we now seek to strengthen our team of experienced Business Analysts to handle challenges at hand.
Business Analysts lead, deliver and support activities that transform business needs into proposals of solutions to realize business outcomes.
Business Analysts collaborate with relevant stakeholders to provide guidance to the right features at the right time.
Our Business Analysts develop and adhere to our best practices of business analysis, driving deliveries across our team.
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious professional, knowledgeable of processes and solutions supporting Operation for an Oil & Gas operator.
Knowledge and experience with clients core solutions and applications supporting our domains is an advantage.
Getting the right person on board is more important to us than timing; so we are willing to wait for the right candidate.

General description of the Role
Develop solution concepts and business cases for new investments
Translate business needs into IT technical requirements
Propose improvements to business processes.
Analyze, define and select preferred solutions together with business on agreed templates
Understand the system cluster of IT systems within their responsibility and build knowledge/ relationship with appropriate vendors.
Participate in establishment of new IT contracts.
Give input to appropriate budget processes regarding future improvements and enhancements
Participate in application user-forums when agreed
Liaison between Business, IT organization and the delivery organization ensuring an effective service delivery according to Lean principles (incl. improvement activities and Lessons Learned process).
Oversee the launch of solutions and help maximize the positive impact on the organization

Main Responsibilities
Help business organization in clarifying business IT demands and ensure they are efficiently met by the IT delivery organization.
Advice business demands are aligned with clients digital strategy.
Solution evaluation
Strategy analysis
Requirements analysis and design definition
Solution architecture evaluation
Estimation of required resources related to information management, data management and information technology for project startups
Together with the customer build domain/ area / system road maps.

Qualifications

Higher education within IT or Business (minimum 3 years)
Knowledge and practical experience on Lean and digitalization of business is an advantage
Team/Managing experience from companies with high complexity and highly skilled co-workers.
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, related Operation of fields; Maintenance, Engineering, reservoir utilization/production optimization, Energy management, barrier management or exploration processes
Knowledge or certification as a Business Analyst
