Assignment Description Being responsible for upstream controlling activities, structures, coordinate’s and drives the financial reporting system and manages the financial planning process. The Controller drives value increase by proactively identifying improvement opportunities as well as risks and deviations to the business plan.
Delivery and constant improvement of efficient, reliable & timely core controlling activities, including, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial planning.
Ensures compliance in the country among the assets with issued controlling guidelines and standards.
Drives sustainable value creation through balanced challenging and professional support of Business activities.
The Controlling team consists of 4 Controllers.
Core financial responsibilities:
Controlling
Responsible for accurate, transparent, efficient, and timely internal & external reporting.
Ensures in-depth evaluation of financial performance and costs and related deviation analyses.
Assist in the planning team (Planning, detailed cost split, monthly budget split, forecasting etc.)
Initiate and provide ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Ensures compliance in the country with issued controlling guidelines & standards.
Accounting:
Responsible for alignment between internal management (controlling) reporting and external financial (accounting) reporting.
Processes & Systems:
Monitors and evaluate the effectiveness of controlling processes, drives ongoing improvement and updates. Participate in optimization and harmonization of controlling relevant IT systems (SAP, BW, TM1, P2V) and their alignment( interface with other parts of local ERP systems.
Business finance:
Analyze and monitor cost structure and development.
Create awareness in the Business for P&L and cashflow drivers.
Develop meaningful comparisons and deviation analyzes and identify improvement potential and synergies.
Assure understanding of outside view on financial/ strategic decisions (shareholders, analysts etc)
Qualifications
Must have experience in Finance and Controlling within Oil & Gas Industry and preferable to have approx. 7 years of relevant experience – Quite a Senior role
Preferable educated within Business Administration/ Economics
Self-confident and willingness to adapt quickly into a new role and tasks.
Fluently in English
