Shell Script Developer
We are seeking a skilled Shell Script Developer to design, implement, and optimize shell scripts that streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve operational efficiency across our systems. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Bash and other scripting languages, a solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments, and experience in automation, deployment, and system administration. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity, improve system performance, and reduce manual tasks through automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Pay: ₦7,800.00 - ₦19,500.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain shell scripts to automate operational processes and system tasks.
- Optimize and refactor existing scripts to improve performance, reliability, and readability.
- Collaborate with system administrators, Dev Ops, and development teams to identify automation opportunities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues with scripts, ensuring high availability and efficiency.
- Document all scripts and processes to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
- Implement secure scripting practices, following best practices for handling data and managing permissions.
- Develop and integrate scripts within CI/CD pipelines to streamline software deployment and infrastructure changes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to teams on using and modifying scripts for their specific needs.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a role focused on shell scripting, automation, or systems administration.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in shell scripting languages such as Bash, with knowledge of other scripting languages like Python or Perl being a plus.
Pay: ₦7,800.00 - ₦19,500.00 per hour
