Job Summary: Mevron Records is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Media Promotions Specialist to join our team and lead our radio and television promotional campaigns. This role requires a well-connected individual with a deep understanding of the Nigerian media landscape, particularly in music, and a proven track record in securing airtime and exposure for music content on TV and radio. As the Media Promotions Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and executing promotion strategies that increase brand visibility and drive audience engagement for our artists.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement media promotion strategies for Mevron Records’ music releases across radio and television channels.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with radio programmers, TV producers, hosts, and key media contacts to secure prime placement and frequent rotation of Mevron Records’ music content.
Actively pitch new music, video releases, and artist appearances to radio and TV stations across Nigeria to build momentum for Mevron Records' artists.
Coordinate interviews, live performances, and feature spots to maximize exposure for Mevron Records’ roster.
Monitor and analyze media coverage and airplay, preparing detailed reports and providing actionable insights to improve promotion strategies for Mevron Records.
Stay updated with current trends in radio and television promotions to optimize media opportunities and ensure our artists remain competitive in the Nigerian market.
Work collaboratively with the Mevron Records marketing team to synchronize online and offline promotional efforts for maximum impact.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in radio and TV promotions, ideally in the music or entertainment industry.
Established relationships with Nigerian radio and TV stations and a network of industry contacts.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with an ability to create compelling pitches that capture media interest.
Proven experience in managing promotional campaigns, securing media coverage, and enhancing brand visibility.
Familiarity with media tracking platforms and ability to analyze performance metrics.
Passion for music and understanding of Nigeria’s media and entertainment landscape.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with digital media and an understanding of how radio and TV promotions can integrate with social media campaigns.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced industry.
Creative thinker with a proactive approach to generating new promotional opportunities.
