Job Title: Mechanical Engineer.
Location: Ogbakwu, Owerri

Salary: #300,00-#350,000
Job Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment within the organization/For clients. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in the oil and gas industry. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration with various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyse mechanical systems and components to meet operational specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of mechanical systems with other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct equipment inspections and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and maintenance manuals.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify engineering drawings and models.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Stay informed on industry trends and technological advancements in mechanical engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications (e.g., HSE certification) is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills Required:
- Mechanical Expertise: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices, particularly related to oil and gas operations.
- CAD Proficiency: Experience with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Auto CAD) for designing and modelling mechanical systems.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities to assess complex engineering challenges and devise effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Preferred Attributes:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and engineering practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
