JOB DESCRIPTION: A real estate development company is looking for a Legal Officer to join its expanding legal department. This position requires handling both administrative and legal tasks to support the team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of post-call experience in litigation. Key Responsibilities LITIGATION MANAGEMENT DUTIES
Review and draft contracts, agreements and other legal documents in line with company policies
Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and execution of contracts and agreements with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Maintain a centralized contract repository and track contract performance and obligations.
Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Analyze legal issues and provide strategic recommendations to the management team.
Oversee all aspects of the company’s litigation portfolio, including pre-litigation matters, ongoing litigation, post-litigation activities and Police issues.
Develop and implement litigation strategies and manage case progress to ensure favorable outcomes.
Manage external legal counsel for litigation matters
Develop and present litigation strategies and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
Prepare and present litigation reports, case status updates, and risk assessments to senior management
Analyze litigation trends and outcomes to inform future strategies and risk management practices.
Provide Administrative duties
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
Maintain and manage clients’ records from initial interest to sublease registration.
Coordinate with surveyors and ensure dispute survey plans are obtained.
Ensure compliance with SCUML and REDAN regulations.
Issue offer letters, demand notices, and terminate expired client offers.
Prepare and compile sublease agreements and client payment records.
Manage documentation and updates in the customer database.
Monitor construction compliance with Guidelines and liaise with the Ministry of Lands for title document registration.
