Whatdoes a dayinthisjoblooklike?
The Waste Minimisation Officer Resource Recovery is part of the Sustainable Resource Recovery Unit within the Infrastructure Operations group.
In this role, you will assist in the delivery of the actions within the Hamilton City Council Waste Management and Minimisation Plan (WMMP) and the Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw. No two days will be the same and you will be actively involved with engaging with the community in both formal and informal settings. This role will require you to be adaptable and flexible with some afterhours/weekend work required.
This role will coordinate and support the successful delivery of key Waste Minimisation programmes and projects. Working closely with internal/external stakeholders, you will support and coordinate projects to deliver great outcomes to the community.
For thisrolewe are seeking:
A degree in communication, marketing or social policy or 3-4 years relevant experience
Experience delivering on activities or projects within a legislative environment.
Previous experience in in Waste Minimisation or Environmental projects.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
Ability to engage with a wide variety of audiences in both a formal and informal setting.
Proven leadership skills with demonstrated ability to articulate the corporate vision and take people on a change journey.

Circa $85K per annum dependent on skills and experience.
