Assist the Sampling & Analysis Team Leader with review of manuals, SOPS, and site directories as per IANZ requirements.
Ensure that sampling rosters are developed and meet requirements of Partner Council issued schedules.
Provide leadership, support, direction, and regular feedback on staff performance.
Whatdoes a dayinthisjoblooklike?
In this role you will organise and manage the implementation of required sampling by the sampling team in conjunction with the Sampling & Analysis Team Leader.
You will also undertake sampling and field analysis, equipment maintenance and calibration, perform basic Laboratory analysis, monitoring and sample preparation to meet the monitoring requirements of the Shared Services Partner Councils and contributing to the continued IANZ accreditation of the Laboratory.
For thisrolewe are seeking:
Current and clean Full Drivers licence (Class 1) able to drive a manual class 1 vehicle & experience with operation of four-wheel drive class 1 vehicles.
Minimum of 1 year’s sampling and field-testing experience and laboratory experience.
Experience in calibration and maintenance of sampling and field-testing equipment.
Understanding of water, wastewater and storm water networks and treatment.
Good understanding of sampling and laboratory processes.
Knowledge of computers and control systems.
Experience in management of Safety and Quality systems and processes.
Technical ability to follow methods and have good observation skills.
Ability to develop, implement and review sound operational processes and procedures.
US17878 Undertake sampling and testing procedures for wastewater treatment.
US17890 Undertake sampling and testing procedures for water treatment.
NZQA 20848 Light 4WD vehicle off road.
