Apply principles and professional knowledge and judgement to plan and implement projects of reasonable complexity
Provide technical design advice for structures and multi-disciplinary projects of reasonable complexity

This role is based with a team in our Beca Tauranga office but requires regular client-site visits near Tokoroa (Waikato). These locations are just over an hour's drive from each other. Our client is at the heart of New Zealand’s forestry, timber and paper industry. Aligned with the level of the role, we envision that the base salary component will be between NZ$68,000.00 – $102,000.00, depending on skills and experience. The role is full time and permanent, with minimum guaranteed hours of 40 hours a week. Mōu ake | About you You are someone who is interested in building on your timber design skills. From residential to commercial timber, we have complex projects that need passionate people to deliver. To be successful in this role you will have:
A Qualification in civil engineering, structural engineering or related field.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering consultancy.
A passion for design and problem-solving.
Experience with building/civil structures and multidisciplinary projects (preferred).
Enquiring mind, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to think laterally.
Enthusiasm and motivation to learn from colleagues.
Working towards or possessing professional certification (preferred).
