We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Structural Engineer to join our friendly team in Palmerston North. This means being part of a team that shares ideas across geographies and time-zones, to push boundaries and go beyond conventional approaches. We're also dedicated to developing and sharing technical innovation and sustainable practices.
Every day will be different and provide different challenges and variety, overall, you can expect to be involved with:
  • Building client relationships locally and playing a key role in the central region structural engineering discipline.
  • Apply principles and professional knowledge and judgement to plan and implement projects of reasonable complexity.
  • Provide technical design advice for structures and multi-disciplinary projects of reasonable complexity.
  • Gain experience in work planning and financial management for local, national, and international projects.
  • Engage in business operations and understand the impact of works practices on the financial outcome of projects.
  • Build and foster internal and external relationships that lead to repeat work.
  • Possess strong communication, presentation, networking, and consulting skills. Be a lifelong learner who actively seeks feedback for professional growth.
Mōu ake | About you
To be successful in this role you'll bring:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Structural Engineer in New Zealand.
  • Structural or Civil Engineering degree, or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead projects and packages of work from concept to completion.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with clients.
