Our Parkside Retirement Village is looking for a Social Coordinator to support our residents with their planned activities to maintain active lives and support their wellbeing! This is an exciting role with the opportunity to make a real difference in our residents' daily lives!
This is Monday to Friday role however there will be an expectation to work on some weekends to plan and facilitate events.
Some of the great things you will be doing:
- organising special events and outings for our resident's such as concerts, dinners and meetings
- producing our weekly and monthly magazines - experience using powerpoint and publishing would be highly desireable
- engaging with our residents and family members
- delivering group activities for our residents that engage, provide social interaction and bring a sense of belonging
- connecting with community groups and supporting existing village run activities
We are looking for a sociable, outgoing, creative thinker who can organize great events for our residents. This is a fun role and rewarding as you will bring great joy to our residents. Other things that will make you a great Social Coordinator:
- ideally you will have experience working in a similar role in Aged Care or from the hospitality industry with conference/meeting organising experience
- an excellent people person who enjoys working with the older adult, with an ability to maximize resident participation in activities
- great communication skills
- current First Aid certificate preferable however we can put you through training
