We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician – Security Systems to join our Total Asset Management team, based in our satellite office in Waikeria, Waikato. Reporting into the Operations Manager, the role is a single site-based position to provide team support and assist other team members in delivery of work at our customer’s site. It is also responsible for servicing the customer’s site, maximizing customer satisfaction and minimizing customer site downtime by providing exceptional technical support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and Maintenance of Honeywell and third-party equipment (as per trade expertise)
  • Configure, fault-finding, repairs and programming of building services (CCTV, Type 1A, Access Control, Intrusion detection, IPTV and Third-party systems)
  • Provide Level 1 Security System & Product support and be the first point of contact for Security related issues
  • Meet site contractual needs and be proactive in building strong customer relationships
  • Ensure Health and Safety plans are adhered to in any services work
  • Manage Small to Medium project installations including managing Subcontractors
  • Technical consulting, design and implementation of Honeywell Systems
  • Development and maintenance of site-specific documentation
Key Experience & Capabilities:
  • Electrical or Electronics Associate Diploma or Trade certificate
  • Intermediate to High computer skills
  • At least 5 years’ experience with Honeywell/Non-Honeywell control systems and products across systems
  • Must have a full NZ driver’s license
  • Fault finding and repairs of electronic equipment
  • Strong experience in building (Security) systems troubleshooting, fault-finding and problem diagnosis
  • Commissioning experience – knowledge in security
  • Currently Hold or capable of holding MOJ clearance
