Day-to-day management of the Restaurant & Bar operation ∙Developing positive business relationships with customers with the aim of developing a strong repeat business clientele. ∙Developing new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand with the help of our Head chef ∙Providing leadership in and assisting with the development and implementation of the Restaurant & Bar’s policies and strategic plan. ∙Being responsible for the maximization of the profit contribution of the beverage department. ∙Responsible for recruiting, inducting, training and performance management of all front of house staff ∙Develop pricing and purchasing policies for revenue maximisation ∙Ensuring Guest Satisfaction levels are within the stipulated range. ∙Working very closely with the Management and other members of the team to ensure a harmonious relationship ∙Establishing budgets and ensuring restaurant operations within budgets ∙Monitor and record inventory, and if necessary, order new supplies. ∙Handling the cash, financial transactions and banking functions ∙Ensure that Restaurant activities operate in a timely manner ∙Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations. ∙Create schedules for staff and evaluate their performance ∙Take bookings and make arrangements for large functions ∙Resolve customer problems and concerns personally. ∙Ensure compliance with all sanitation and hygienic food handling procedures set out by legislation and restaurant policy.
