Renal Transport Driver – Northland Permanent Full Time (1.0FTE)

The role:
You will play an important part in enabling our clients to reliably access their dialysis treatment by providing safe door to door transport services between the client's home and one of our dialysis treatment units at Whangarei, Bay of Islands or Kaitaia Hospital.
A normal working day is split and normally consists of two 4-hour duties to accommodate our client's dialysis sessions. The role will involve early morning starts.
This is a permanent position, 40 hours per week (excluding intervening periods between duties) and is suitable for an experienced driver with good defensive, safe and fuel-efficient driving skills.
Key requirements:
You're an empathetic person who can care for our clients
Current clean Class 1 New Zealand Drivers Licence
Current “P” (Passenger) Endorsement for a Small Passenger Service (SPSL) or the ability to get one as soon as possible
Good knowledge of Northland roads and geography
Good level of fitness as you may need to assist clients in and out of the vehicle and secure wheelchairs in one of our wheelchair transport vehicles
Professional driving experience in a taxi or other small passenger service
Knowledge of the Worktime Rule 2007
Knowledge of vehicles and general vehicle maintenance requirements
