Join our exceptional team at Ko Matariki Unit/Maternity based at Whakatāne hospital. We are actively seeking caring and dedicated Registered Midwives to be a part of our dynamic workforce.

Working in the Maternity Unit guarantees that each day brings new challenges and experiences, allowing you to engage in the complete spectrum of midwifery practices. Our commitment to a women-centred approach ensures that your skills and expertise will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall patient experience.

The role available is for casual hours, working ‘as and when required' to cover days with high demand in the Maternity Unit.

Top-notch Maternity Care: Consistently delivering high-quality and compassionate maternity care to women and their babies. This includes ensuring the safety, well-being, and comfort of both mother and child throughout the childbirth process.
Collaborative Teamwork: Effective collaboration with a diverse and skilled team. Working seamlessly with midwives, nurses, healthcare assistants, obstetric registrars, and Senior Medical Officers is crucial for the overall success of the unit.
