ANZCO Foods Canterbury have an opportunity for someone to work with Quality Control within the beef department. Reporting to the Beef Supervisor you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the quality systems within the beef department. This is a full-time permanent position. Duties and Responsibilities will include:
To ensure quality control procedures and corrective actions are implemented in accordance with company documented procedures.
Ensure compliance is met
Any procedure amendment to be made in liaison with Document Control personnel
Provide feedback to other departments in relation to quality and compliance
Pursue ongoing improvements and innovations of the company's products and service
Discuss with the beef operations manager and beef senior supervisor, any issues relating to production costs, throughput, yields, waste, personnel and quality which may affect customer product satisfaction and the profitability of the company
About You:
At least 12 months experience in a beef department preferable
Strong knowledge of compliance, health and safety and quality requirements
Knowledge of product specifications and ability to place product "ON HOLD" should that product not meet the correct mandatory requirements and raise non-conformance
Understanding of when to stop processing in the event of "critical" defect identification
