Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
The Kia Angitu, Student Success program is dedicated to the initial experiences of students at UC. It integrates various initiatives aimed at facilitating students' transition into their first year and optimizing their academic pursuits. As the Program Support Administrator, you will oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the Student Success Program. Collaborating closely with the Program Director, your role involves providing administrative support across all facets of Kia Angitu that demand administrative functions. Your tasks will encompass managing calendars and meetings, recording meeting minutes, reviewing and preparing reports, offering

Mōu | Who You Are
You will shave significant experience in an administrative support role in a large organisation, particularly in the public sector, and tertiary experience or understanding of the New Zealand education system, and also have:

  • a tertiary qualification at degree level or a diploma in an appropriate discipline, is preferred
  • have advanced computer skills including a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft 365, including Teams
  • experience working in a high pressure and complex environment, with the ability to multitask and adhere to strict deadlines
  • strong teamwork skills, fostering collaboration and contributing positively to the team
  • ability to pick up systems and processes quickly.
We are looking for a stellar communicator, who possesses the knack for delivering information with precision and punctuality, with the ability to navigate through competing demands and the flexibility to adapt and learn on the fly.
Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in a similar role and understanding of NZ education system.

The mahi undertaken in Kia Angitu, UC's student success programme, is designed to achieve one of UC's key strategic objectives - to develop and provide a positive environment to support student success through a range of pedagogical, digital, and organisational approaches.

Kia Angitu has gained acknowledgment in the New Zealand higher education sector as an innovative and prominent program. It integrates various interconnected initiatives that specifically target the initial experiences of students as they enter their first year of study at UC and beyond. This is especially crucial for traditionally underserved communities, including Māori, Pacific, first-generation students, as well as individuals from low-decile schools and students with disabilities.
