Develops and implements an Organisation Development work programme grounded in the workforce strategy, leading the delivery of key initiatives that have been identified. Prioritises and schedules the execution of essential programmes.
Supports the Chief People Officer in the continuous review, development, and implementation of NCC’s workforce strategy.
Collaborates closely with the People & Capability team to facilitate workshops and drive cultural change.
Facilitates workshops and delivers content on a comprehensive range of organisational development topics as needed. Procures, engages, and collaborates with external facilitators as required.
Develops and delivers NCC’s leadership development programmes and supports the Chief People Officer in executing Executive Leadership Development, including potential leadership programme facilitation.
Works closely with the People & Capability Manager and the broader People & Capability team to ensure succession plans are in place for all key and high-risk roles within the organisation, serving as a critical tool for talent retention.
Leads the development of NCC’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy, identifying priorities, planning work programmes, and driving implementation.
Leads the creation of a wellbeing function for the organisation, working in close coordination with the People Operations and Health & Safety teams.
Oversees NCC’s learning and development programme, ensuring that critical competency gaps are addressed through effective learning interventions and training opportunities.
Ensures the effective and regular scheduling of learning and development activities across the organisation.
Oversees the delivery of NCC’s employee engagement survey, working closely with the broader People & Capability team to report on findings and ensure effective action planning in response to the results.
Plays a pivotal role in supporting the Chief People Officer in establishing and maintaining the standard for culture and leadership within both the People & Capability (HR) team and the wider organisation.
About You:
A university degree in a related field (or equivalent level of demonstrated skills and experience)
8+ years experience in an HR/OD role in a complex organisation (professional services or public sector preferred)
5+ years experience in organisation development, leadership development, learning and development, change management or similar
Experience in management and leadership of an organisation development, human resources or learning and development team preferred
Proven ability to thrive in complexity and drive change outcomes
Senior stakeholder management experience
Proven ability to manage and influence key stakeholders in a way that effectively influences organisational culture
Knowledge of the implications of Te Tiriti o Waitangi with a commitment to Biculturalism
Subject matter expert in leadership development practices
