The Civil Aviation Authority is the regulatory arm of our organisation and the Aviation Security Service is the nationwide provider for aviation security.

About the role

The Senior Organisational Development Advisor plays a key role in contributing to the delivery of our people strategy by providing effective processes, strategies, initiatives, and resources to deliver an exceptional employee experience across the Authority.
In this role you will work on a wide range of initiatives and organisation wide projects related to our values and behaviours, engagement and culture, diversity and inclusion, and the experience of our people through the employee journey. You will be leading, facilitating, and managing organisational change projects. We are dedicated to supporting managers and teams across the authority, working collaboratively to ensure we create a positive and enjoyable work environment.

This is a Fixed-term position based at Wellington National Office with flexible working options available. The salary band for this position goes from $115,536 to $161,412 with the mid-range being $141,751 pa. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader Authority for the same or similar roles.

What you’ll bring

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Organisational Development Advisor to play a pivotal role in influencing and guiding our team to effectively execute our people strategy. In this role, you will provide targeted advice, support, and guidance to managers on people-related matters, ensuring an exceptional employee experience across the Authority.

To be successful in this role you will possess:
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing organisation development initiatives. * Proven experience in effecting change through the employee journey. * Ideally, you’ll have a great understanding of cultural awareness, ensuring we honour our obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi. * Excellent partnership building, collaboration, and relationship management skills with the ability to understand and achieve business outcomes. * Strong communication skills that convey messages in an inspiring and clear manner. * Attention to detail and analytical skills. * Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and pragmatic. * Someone with a drive for results, who likes working as part of a team.
