Oral Health Therapist
Community Oral Health Service - Southern
Mō te tūranga - About the role
You will be responsible for maintaining the oral health of children in our region; educating children and their families on oral health and the prevention of dental disease. You will recognise, diagnose and treat oral abnormalities and disease within your scope of practice.
You will work alongside a Dental Assistant as part of a supportive and friendly team who is committed to delivering quality health services for our tamariki.
We have the ability to support those training in the new Adult Scope of Practice.

We are looking for enthusiastic; team-players who are keen to grow their knowledge and skills with a proactive approach towards learning. Excellent communication, natural empathy for children and interpersonal skills are essential.
You will need to have the flexibility to be able to cover rostered evening shifts. You will also need to be able to work in other clinics throughout the region; on occasion, this may see you staying away overnight.

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role belongs to the DHBs/PSA Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and currently falls between Step 1 ($77,087) to Step 7 ($107,600) p.a pro-rata.

- Registration or able to gain registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand as a Dental Therapist/Oral Health Therapist
- A current APC or the ability to apply for one
- A full clean NZ Driver's Licence
- Highly motivated and organised
