Clinical Nurse Specialist – Trauma
Fixed Term, Part Time Role (0.6 FTE)

The Trauma Service here at Te Whatu Ora-Counties Manukau is a busy close knit team who are responsible for overseeing the care of trauma patients from admission through to discharge. They liaise with Trauma Services from around the country and assist with Guidelines and Policies centring on Trauma.
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist who is looking for a rewarding challenge to join our Trauma Team. This fixed term 0.6 FTE role is to provide support to the existing Clinical Nurse Specialists in the Trauma service, to meet clinical demand and service requirements. This role involves coordinating care for major trauma patients and providing guidance for all staff around the care of trauma cases.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and innovative nurse who has the ability to work independently and meet the challenges this role brings, by promoting excellence in clinical practice and team collaboration, providing high quality nursing care and achieving the best outcomes for our patients.

Essential:
- New Zealand Registered Nurse
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- 5 years post registration experience in Trauma / Emergency Care / ICU
- Experience in complex case management and working in an MDT
- Post Graduate qualification or working towards one
- Interest and Involvement in Trauma Research
