About the role
As the Leases Coordinator you will be responsible for facilitating and providing expert advice on Parks and Property leases and licences. You will manage easements, licenses, and leases of Council's commercial, community, and cultural facilities within the Parks and Reserves team.
Your focus in this role will include:
  • Implement the ongoing strategy and planning in respect of new and existing leases for the team.
  • Help negotiate and facilitate lease, licence, and easement agreements between Council and would be Lessees.
  • Develop a leases database and maintain it by ensuring the team achieves renewals, rent reviews, and audits (H&S and performance) throughout the Parks and Reserves portfolio.

About you
You should have a background in contract, lease and property management, strategic planning, and risk assessment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
  • Ideally 5 years' experience in property transactions, including real estate, lease management (commercial and community), and easements.
  • Long term strategic view with a proven ability to evaluate, contribute to and assist organisations to develop and implement sound business plans.
