He angitūtanga | About the role
As a Knowledge and Information Management Advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing information management to support the creation and reuse of information within the Department.
In this role you will:
build and maintain good working relationships across the organisation
provide support to the Information Systems & Services unit to achieve development goals suggested by Archives New Zealand based on the Public Records Act 2005 (PRA) review
work collaboratively with wider DOC teams to design, implement and improve Microsoft 365 configuration to comply with PRA requirements
work independently, delivering to customer needs and agreed timelines.

Our ideal candidate is someone who can in thrive in engaging with our customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored advice. You will be a collaborative team player who enjoys problem-solving to identify and implement opportunities with a very strong experience in Microsoft Share Point.
In addition, you will bring the following skills, qualifications and experience;
Knowledge of Information and Records Management Standard (2016), Electronic Transactions Act (2002), and Contract and Commercial Law Act (2017).
A university degree or a qualification in knowledge and information management (eg,MLIA) or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in information management roles as well as a good understanding of information management and records management principles and practice
Proficiency in knowledge management tools and technologies, preferably Microsoft Share Point.
Strong customer service and requirements gathering skills, with the ability to actively listen and translate customer needs into actions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Proven ability to work independently and continuously deliver to agree standards.
Desirable:
Knowledge and experience of maintaining taxonomies and ontologies.
Knowledge of IT frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT.
Participation as a member of Information Management professional bodies (eg. RIMPA) to learn and share best practice.

The salary range for this position is $79,656 - $100,639 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
