With a brand-new store and impressive offering across butchery, seafood, bakery, deli, produce, grocery and liquor, we can’t wait to open our doors to the East Auckland community! We’re currently seeking an experienced Grocery Assistant Manager to join the team. As a department leader, you’ll play an integral part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our community. The Role:
Assist the Grocery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the grocery department.
Assist customers with product inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, providing guidance and support for professional growth within the grocery department.
Plan and coordinate all facets of the day-to-day operations of the grocery department
Manage staff, stock, and merchandising
Ensure staff are well trained to provide the best overall shopping experience for our customers

Previous supermarket experience – ideally in grocery.
Proven leadership capability to lead and inspire a large team.
Forklift license required.
SAP experience desirable.
LCQ and Managers certifications desirable- (experience selling alcohol is advantageous)
