Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Checkout Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the checkout area.
Provide leadership and guidance to the checkout team, ensuring efficient and accurate transactions.
Lead by example to ensure top-quality customer service is delivered at all times.
Help with training new checkout staff and providing ongoing coaching and support.
Monitor checkout performance and make recommendations to improve efficiency.
Manage customer queries and assist with resolving any issues as they arise.
Ensure store policies are followed, including handling restricted item sales.
What You’ll Bring:
Previous experience in a checkout or customer service role, preferably in a supermarket or retail setting.
General Managers Certificate (Liquor) is preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to assist in leading a team.
A customer-first mindset with a focus on delivering excellent service.
Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy work environment.
Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and evenings, we are open 7am to 10pm daily.
