We’re seeking a proactive Cancer Navigator Administrator to join our Whānau Ora Cancer Care Navigation service at Waipuna. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the way in empowering and advocating for whānau, ensuring they access the right support at the right time.
As the Cancer Navigator Administrator, you’ll be responsible for providing essential administrative support to both our on-site and off-site teams, coordinating care, and guiding whānau through the cancer pathway. Your work will have a direct impact on whānau well-being, connecting them to the integrated services they need to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Provide high-level administrative support to the Waipuna team.
Coordinate meetings, manage minutes, and continuously improve administration systems and processes.
Maintain accurate documentation and secure file management, adhering to QMS policies.
Prepare timely reports and keep the team updated on service delivery.
Increase awareness and accessibility of cancer care services.
Support educational initiatives to empower whānau with knowledge about cancer care.
Ensure exceptional customer service and accountability in all aspects of service delivery.
Your Skills and Experience
Strong commitment to Te Reo me ōna tikanga.
2+ years of experience in a medical administration role.
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
Knowledge of community and service networks.
Commitment to cultural safety, equity, and quality improvement.
Superb organisational skills and ability to perform well under pressure.
A valid Full NZ Drivers’ Licence.
